The idea being to make it clear that they've been chained up long enough for hope to be abandoned by a rational person (and aren't just chained up for the weekend until Lucky Eddie's lawyer can get the whole thing straightened out).<BR/><BR/>Nonetheless, I vastly prefer the idea that the lighting changes are due to passing cars, enough so that I refuse to consider the matter open for any further debate.
